The film stars Sonakshi Sinha as Kiran, a woman who finds a mysterious telephone and whose life goes astray. Sonakshi is known for her performance in Hindi films and introduces the main female character into a tale of relationships, uncertainty and unwanted attention. Zaheer Iqbal is playing Samar, the man with whom Kiran comes in contact through the weird gadget. As his fascination turns to obsession, his character becomes more and more disturbing. Story Highlights And Plot
The story follows Kiran who happens upon an old flip phone, which links her to a man, Samar, who lives 10 years ago. During their exchanges, the two slowly begin to understand that their exchanges span two eras. An amazing find leads to the concept of choices, destiny and having an impact on the future! The strange link is the key to the film’s enigma and sparks the audience’s imagination of how a casual chat might impact lives in various time periods.
But things take a turn for the worse when Samar falls for Kiran. His interest slowly turns into an unhealthy obsession and he can’t seem to understand that she doesn’t feel the same way about him as he would like. He ignores her boundaries and starts trying to control situations and get into her life. The narrative changes from maybe romantic to a more psychological relationship that involves elements of controlling, stalking and rejection. The contrast between true love and wanting someone is explored through Samar’s actions.

The time traveling device also gives it an added element of suspense, as the characters realise that their choices could have consequences that are outside of the scope of their immediate situation. The film asks the question, “Can one change the past and that in turn change the present? And can fate be controlled if one knows what is going to happen in the future? While the concept offers room for a few surprises, some early critics have noted that the continuity of the story is not always followed and the dialogues in the script have not been resolved.
Tu Hai Meri Kiran Movie Budget
According to the reports on the co-production deal between Echelon Productions and AND Movie Products LLP, the production budget of Tu Hai Meri Kiran is reported to be Rs 15 crore (plus GST). The financial issue was about the amount of investment made by the co-producer (approx. Rs 8.85 crore), along with the repayment terms he had negotiated with the production company. The production costs, however, do not include the legal costs that are part of the dispute. Financial performance should not be judged based on any independent final box-office total or confirmed breakdown of production costs is not included here.
Final Thought
With the help of the actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, Tu Hai Meri Kiran is an interesting mix of time travel, romance, and a psychological thriller. The most redeeming aspect of it is the theme of bridging a decade between two people and seeing how that relationship can go wrong when love turns into addiction. But initial feedback indicates that the film’s lofty concept is not always accompanied by a well-defined script, especially as the narrative’s twists take on a more complex turn. The film’s concept might appeal to audiences interested in unconventional romantic thrillers, but those looking for a well-woven time-travel mystery will find its plot more disappointing.
