The movie follows the story of a man, Ramakant, who is a stingy perfume shop owner who lives with his wife, Shilpa, in a small society. He is so cheap that he hates spending money on anything, even wedding gifts. When his wife forces him to buy something nice for this couple’s wedding gifts, then he picks out a fancy toaster worth five thousand rupees. A day later, the couple’s marriage falls apart and they call off the wedding. Ramakant cannot stop thinking about that expensive toaster sitting in their house, so he decides he wants it back. His obsession leads him to the couple’s families, where he gets pulled into a messy murder case and everything starts going wrong in the worst possible way.
What happened as a simple plan to retrieve a kitchen appliance turns into complete chaos. The cheap nature of Ramakant keeps making things worse like he lies, sneaks around and drags his confused wife into the drama. The film toaster becomes the center of a wild mystery involving secrets and police trouble. Also, a bunch of weird characters who all seem connected to the broken marriage.
